EDENS Revitalizes Shadowood with New Retail and Property Upgrades Designed to Enhance Community Engagement

Share

Boca Raton, FL  – EDENS, a national retail and mixed-use real estate owner, operator and developer, is revitalizing the visitor experience at Shadowood with major site improvements and new retail encompassing 109,887 square feet of new and renovated retail space.

Demolition has begun at Shadowood, which EDENS acquired in 2023.  Pedestrian connectivity will be improved throughout the property and new retail is now open or opening soon. Extensive sitework will make way for five new retail buildings totaling 49,330 square feet, connected by a 25-foot-wide promenade and public green space for events and community activation; three existing retail buildings totaling 60,557 square feet will be fully renovated. Additional placemaking elements including brightened facades, unique signage and wayfinding, paseos, public art and outdoor seating will be delivered at the property.

EDENS has signed lease agreements with J. Crew Factory, Joe and the Juice and Maman, for which opening plans will be announced soon. Blo Blow Dry Bar and Dave’s Hot Chicken are now open, and Nomu Sushi & Pub opens later this month.

The construction phase of Shadowood is expected to last between 18 and 24 months, with the last phase of new retail opening late in 2027.

A key component of EDENS’ placemaking process is to create welcoming spaces through visual storytelling. Additional elements at Shadowood  include a large-scale mural titled “Poolside Scene” created by South Florida-based artists Allison Matherly and Jeffrey Noble—collectively known as we are nice’n easy. Commissioned by EDENS, the mural serves as a vibrant landmark that reflects the unique spirit and character of the local community.

Including Shadowood, EDENS has 12 retail real estate assets located in South Florida, including Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, Lakeside Centre (Boca Raton), Fifth & Alton (Miami Beach) and River Market (Ft. Lauderdale).
