EDENS Expands Southeast Portfolio with Newly Acquired Freshfields Village

Columbia, S.C. – EDENS, a leading national retail real estate owner, operator and developer, announced today that it has acquired Freshfields Village in Kiawah Island, S.C. The transaction makes EDENS the third owner of the 191,850-square-foot retail and lifestyle destination.

EDENS has deep roots in South Carolina having been founded in 1966 in Columbia.  The business has continued to grow upon a foundation of entrepreneurialism, human connection and exceptional service. The investment in Freshfields Village signals EDENS’ continued longstanding commitment to South Carolina.

The retail destination sits in the heart of Kiawah Island, which is home to more than 5,000 residents and draws over 400,000 visitors each year.
