The 22,000 SF concept store will be a “smaller, highly edited and service-driven location" and will provide guests with an alternative destination to shop, make returns or pick up packages ordered online.

Amidst a worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, an enterprising Florida International University Honors College student and @collegetocongress fellow converted a canceled study abroad opportunity into one for self-investment. A first-generation college graduate, Destiny Pearson’s studies and career interests revolve around public policy-related women’s health issues – especially maternal health. “The U.S. is the only country with increasing mortality rates due to childbirth – why are we lagging behind all other countries in the world? Mothers are dying because they don’t have health care or because coverage ends 60 days postpartum and complications developing after that window are not covered,” Pearson says.

College to Congress is building a more inclusive and effective Congress by empowering the next generation of public servants, creating a democracy that is truly reflective of the people that it serves. Contributions from the EDENS Community Enrichment Foundation provided funding for congressional internships to two female interns. "As a female-founded nonprofit, elevating women's voices has always been at the forefront of our mission. The United States ranks 75th out of 193 countries for women's representation in government, and that's simply not acceptable. 60% of the students we serve College to Congress are women and I remain optimistic and encouraged that they will transform our Congress,” says Audrey Henson, College to Congress Founder & CEO.

Destiny’s free time is spent reading, cooking, following news and visiting DC museums. She has recently begun an internship with communications consultant The Glover Park Group. In a few months she will graduate with an undergraduate degree and plans to pursue a master’s degree in public policy at Johns Hopkins University. The EDENS community is invested in Destiny and the imprint she will make on the future of our country.
