An impressive new mural has just been revealed at River Market in Fort Lauderdale, created by two well known Canadian-based artists Ben Johnston and Trevor Wheatley (Trever Ferever). The duo work together on many projects but for this one in particular, they partnered with real estate company EDENS to bring some fresh art to Florida.
EDENS is a real estate company that designs and develops shopping locations like River Market in Fort Lauderdale, but they say their mission is so much more than that. “As a collective of passionate people, our purpose is to enrich community through culture, canvas and conversation. Discover the stories of our people and places, who inspire communities [at] edens.com,” the pinned Tweet from February 2, 2018, on their Twitter account reads.
The River Market located on N Federal Hwy is one of the many shopping and retail properties owned and managed by EDENS. They also have headquarters and properties in Washington, DC, Boston, MA, Dallas, TX, Columbia, SC, Atlanta, GA, and Miami, FL.
EDENS did not hire just anyone for this mural installment, they picked the best of the best.
Johnston and Wheatley have an extensive and extremely impressive portfolio. From coast to coast and north to south, installments of their artworks can be seen all over North America.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say Florida is so lucky to have some art crafted by the hands of these legends.
