One thing we know for certain at EDENS is nothing draws a crowd quite like the grand opening of a grocery store. But it takes a certain amount of commitment to brave a Mid-Atlantic snowstorm for the chance to be the first to cross the threshold. That is exactly the scene that unfolded at Burtonsville Crossing last month for the grand opening of Sprouts Farmers Market—the first for Montgomery County.
There was snow outside, but it was packed inside. Burtonsville East County is very, very, VERY excited about its destination grocery store!”
Hundreds of people started arriving before sunrise. With the grand opening of Sprouts Farmers Market, Burtonsville Crossing’s 23,200-square-foot anchor, residents of Montgomery County now have access to the community-focused grocer’s extensive selection of fresh, organic produce and natural products.
In addition to welcoming Sprouts to the neighborhood, EDENS unveiled a slate of new retail partners that will open at the approximately 130,000 square-foot Burtonsville Crossing. This expansion features a curated mix of shopping, dining and beauty and wellness services. Read the full press release here.
Sprouts marks the beginning of a new era for this shopping center, as we continue to welcome a diverse mix of national, local and community-focused businesses. A special thank-you to the Burtonsville community for your input and patience throughout this revitalization. Your engagement and support throughout this process has energized our entire team and is what will continue to make this place special for years and years to come.
